Bluefin Lab’s CEO Deb Roy and his team of researchers have come up with an artificial intelligence technology that measures audience engagement with video content, including television advertising, through social media.

To radically oversimplify Bluefin’s offering – their technology discovers and analyzes, at scale and real time, exactly what people say through social media about the shows and ads they watch on television.

My firm, SS+K, is beta testing this technology with a few of our clients now and I’m quite certain the results will be both powerful and insightful.

One thing’s for sure, Bluefin will change the way agencies and marketers measure the performance and impact of advertising going forward.
